CP Akaninyene Ezima was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force on 18th May 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, he has served with unwavering dedication and professionalism across several key commands and formations within and outside the Force.
CP Ezima served as Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 17 CID Akure. He also brought his wealth of investigative and law enforcement expertise to bear as Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ibadan,Lagos, Benin and Kano Zones earning commendations for his impactful anti-corruption drive.
Prior to his redeployment as Director, Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), he served as Commissioner of Police, Force Intelligence Department Annex, Lagos. In recognition of his vast experience, exemplary service record, and proven competence, he is now entrusted with leading the Force’s strategic response to cybercrime and other emerging digital threats as Director, NPF-NCCC.
He took over from the pioneer Director, AIG Uche Ifeanyi Henry, PhD, who was recently promoted and redeployed as Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
