Hon. Abdul-Akeem Ayodeji Amodu was born in to the Amodu family in Lagos state, in the late early 70’s. He is the 2nd child of a family of 6.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Attended Aunty Ayo Preparatory School and Aunty Ayo’s Private Secondary school. Passed his West African School Certificate Examination (WASC) & Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examinations. He Gained admission into Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1991. Bagged a first degree in (B.sc) International Studies and Political Science in 1997 in same vein, He also Posses PGD Degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the Nigerian Institution of Journalism (N I J) Lagos. ; He served the Nation in his I Year Mandatory National Youth Service Core in Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in 1998. After his service year he was employed in the Private sector as an administrator & HR Personality in about 2 organisations for 6 Years. This gave him the drive to understudy great icons who were Successful Administrators in Nigeria & across the globe.
Quickly he registered with the Nigerian Institute of Management where he became an Associate in 2004.
He later bagged an MBA Degree in International Business Management at Lagos State University) LASU in 2012.after which he enrolled at the University of London LLB undergraduate correspondence course presently in View. For a Bachelor’s degree in LAW,; LLB. For his love for probity & accountability, Ayo Amodu also studied a course in Forensic Psychology & Criminal Intelligence , where he paged another Post graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology. WORK & BUSINESS EXPERIENCE;
Ayo Amodu had his 1year Mandatory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) program in 1997/1998 at MOBIL PRODUCING NIGERIA UNLIMITED (NOW EXXON MOBIL). Worked as contract staff several years at the External and Government Relations Department of Exxon Mobil Now Corporate Communications Department. After which he left Mobil.
Mr.Akeem Ayodeji Amodu Joined the Lagos State Local Government Civil Service Commission (LGSC) in March 2004 as an Administrative Officer II, and rose through the rank till date to the post of Chief Administrative Officer. Ever since he joined the service he had worked in the Establishment and Pension department, he had handled projects which stems from the Transport Section/ Department of the Lagos Island East LCDA in Coalition with newly set up LAMATA project of the Transport Planning Unit Programme for the resuscitation of the transport system for Lagos by the Consultant that handled the current Oshodi Transport Interchange for Lagos state Government & the resuscitation of the Lagos Island Municipal Transport for the Local Government at that time as a Project Manager.
He also bagged a degree in Transportation Planning & Management. (Principles of Transport and Traffic) Dubai, United Arab Emirates; among other Certification and training he has attended home and Abroad.
He was later appointed to double as the Area Co-ordinator for Revenue Generation of which he increased the Revenue of the Council by 300% fro where it was dwindled initially. He handled that portfolio alongside as he perform in the Human Resources Department at as Ag: HR & ADMIN in Ibeju Lekki Local Government after he was posted from Lagos Island east LCDA; to retain as the Ag: Head of Administration & HR in the Ibeju before he was posted back to the Premier Local Government in Nigeria, The Lagos Island Local Government the mother LG to the LCDA. where he was appointed by the LGSC as Area Coordinator to Generate Revenue for the Local Government at that time between 2017 and 2018. His recent appointment by the LGSC was Ffor him to resume as the HEAD OF DEPARTMENT & the (Permanent Secretary & Legislative Clerk) of the Council at Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government a position he still holds till date. presently posted as it crowns it all for now.
Presently Mr. Akeem Ayodeji Amodu is also an Associate Member of The Nigerian Institute of Management. Fellow Chartered institute of Public Management. The International Institute of Certified Forensic Professionals and a host of other Corporate Institutions. Akeem Ayodeji Amodu had gained relevant experiences in the Practice as a Corporate Administrator as well as an Administrator in Civil Service with specialization in Administration / Human Resources Management and Project Management, He his an embodiment of a host of other managerial and Administrative skills that had shaped him as successful seasoned Administrator because of his commitment to Civil Service Administration & also as a Professional Estate Surveyor & Valuer. Because of his Certification and participation in several area of competence approved by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyor & Valuer NIESV of which he is an Associate Member and registered surveyor.
Ayo Amodu has successfully attended several Workshops & Training as well as a host of Mandatory continuous professional development programs (MCPD’s) organised by the Nigerian Institute Of Management; The Lagos State Civil Service Commission, The Nigerian institution of Estate Surveyor & Valuer.The International Institute of Certified Forensic Professionals (IICFIP),CIPM IPAN and a host of other international Conferences home & Abroad.
POLITICAL AFFLIATIONS:
Mr Ayo Amodu has always been a strong Progressive in the Polity of Nigeria.
He has always surpported the Party with the Ideology of Emancipation of her people from absolute Hoplessness and Bad Governance to Improved Socio -Economic Development order, that brings about improved Lifestles and Great Self sufficiency for the populace.
As a public servant from the Old civil service rule, He was not able to rear his head up as a politician , but he always has his Bias for the Political Parties with the Ideology of Papa Awolowo; hence wielding his by registering as a member & also show support Professionally, Morally, & Financially.
But recently in Nigeria & Lagos state in Particular when it has been passed by circulars that Public Servant can also Participate openly in Politics, Mr. Ayodeji Amodu, seized this opportunity to go all out to showcase his professional & Educational Experience as a qualified student of Political Science & International Studies; First Degree, coupled with his long-term participation in The political Parties of the WEST to register with the ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC); under this platform he formed a group known As the BOS-HKO AMBASSADORS alongside other political juggernaut to promote the candidature of the New GOVERNOR ELECT: MR BABAJIDE OLUSOLA SANWO- OLU to be elected as The New Executive Governor of Lagos State.
As The Palance Goes, The reward for Hard work is More Work….. It was after 2023 Election That Esv. Hon. Chief Ayodeji Ejalonibu AMODU, returned back to Service by writing ✍️ his Re-instatement as a Local Government Service Commission LGSC Staff for the month of October 2023 that a *NEW LETTER OF RE-APPOINTMENT RE- SURFACED* from our New Elected Governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for *2ND TERM in 2023* ; That he AyodejibAmodu should be Re- instated and Re- appointed as The Senior Special Assistant to Mr. Governor on Housing.
Hence is *2nd TERM* As *SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO MR. GOVERNOR.*
Even though Esv. Hon. Ayodeji Expected a Promotion or an Elevation Which he deserved as Other SSA Who worked and Performed as *SSA* in the 1st term of *GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU* He was asked to retain his seat. As a Team player and a Contented party Man, he Obeyed the Governor as a *LOYAL SERVANT* who he has always been, to return back to Retain his Seat as Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Housing SSA(Housing).
