The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has reacted after he was asked about the person that opposition parties will pick between NDC candidate, Peter Obi and ADC candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The reaction of Hakeem Baba-Ahmed was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of Trust TV on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
This is coming after it was reported that a group of opposition politicians known as G100 will be holding a summit on August 31, 2026 to discuss about the 2027 general elections.
In the video that surfaced online, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed stated that the opposition parties might endorse Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar and all the presidential candidates might run in the election.
He said the summit is not necessarily about endorsing a candidate but to ensure that the presidential election is free and fair.
Here is what Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said;
“It might be any of them (Atiku, Obi, Donald Duke) and it might be that all of them will run in the election. But the alliance would have succeeded in reducing the negative impact of the APC government and created a level playing ground where anyone out of the three can emerge as the President”.
