This is a lesson to all Nigerian politicians — POWER IS TEMPORARY! FAME IS TEMPORARY! Today they call you Your Excellency, tomorrow you are just an inmate number.
Abide by the rule of law of every country you find yourself. Abroad is NOT Nigeria where politicians feel they are above the law. Over there, the law is the law. Ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse.
My heart bleeds. My heart goes to his family, to his wife, to his children. How are they coping? A family shattered because of one wrong decision taken out of desperation.
May this be a lesson to all of us. No matter how high you are, the law can bring you down. No matter how powerful you think you are, one mistake can erase 30 years of hard work.
Vanity upon vanity… all is vanity.
