Hon. Nafi’u Bala Gombe has stated that his lawyers and political advisers betrayed his trust, after the names of their party’s National Assembly candidates that were submitted to the Electoral Commission failed to appear on the list of candidates released.
Nafi’u said that on the final night the Electoral Commission directed political parties to submit their candidates’ names, they submitted theirs, and his lawyer assured him that the commission had received the documents.
However, he said the surprising thing is that among all the candidates’ names they submitted, not a single name of a National Assembly candidate was included in the list that was released.
