The controversy surrounding the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) took another dramatic turn after social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), released a revealing interview with the self-proclaimed Director-General of the organisation, Mathew Adeniyi Adeyemi.
Speaking from an undisclosed location, Adeyemi denied ever meeting Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, face-to-face, despite previously making serious allegations against him.
During the interview, VDM asked Adeyemi directly whether he had ever sat down one-on-one with Gbajabiamila to discuss the PFIPC.
“No,” Adeyemi replied.
He explained that his only alleged interactions with the Chief of Staff were three phone conversations facilitated by his late associate, Dolapo Tanimola.
VDM, however, questioned how Adeyemi could be certain he had actually been speaking with Gbajabiamila, noting that the conversations were not conducted via video call and that anyone could have answered the phone.
Adeyemi admitted they were audio calls only and agreed that such a possibility existed.
When asked whether Gbajabiamila’s denial of any involvement could be true, Adeyemi responded that he could neither say the Chief of Staff was lying nor confirm he was telling the truth, insisting that only an official investigation would establish the facts.
