Only in a country like Nigeria can someone be arrested and detained simply for expressing an opinion that does not align with that of an oppressive government.
A man like Garus Gololo served Nigeria, sacrificed his life in battles both within and outside the country to defend Nigeria and the African region as a whole.
But today, because of the selfishness and injustice of the Tinubu administration, Gololo has allegedly been arrested and detained simply for expressing his views about the 2027 elections.
If this is what democracy means, then may God condemn this kind of democracy practiced in Nigeria.
