The Ondo State Government has handed over the newly established Technological Hub in Okitipupa to the management of the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology(OAUSTECH) today. The handing over exercise was anchored by the State Information Technology Agency(SITA).
Speaking at the office of the OAUSTECH Vice-Chancellor, the Executive Chairman of SITA, Hon Tomide Akinribido, praised the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa towards deepening ICT penetration and enhancing digital literacy amongst the residents of the state. He assured the Vice Chancellor and other management staff of the university that the state government would continually upgrade the tech hub facility to ensure its conformity with global standard.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Temi Ologunorisa, appreciated the Ondo state Government for deeming it fit to establish the tech hub at the institution, noting that it would add value to specialized training of students in Tech courses and foster an environment of innovation and creativity. He went on to assure that the facility would be well maintained and managed decently by the ICT directorate of the University.
