The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and leading All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Ogun 2027, Tunde Lemo (TL), has declared that his governorship ambition is driven by a singular mission, to reposition Ogun State as a leading economic powerhouse through strategic transformation.
Speaking on his economic blueprint, Lemo, through his media office, said his vision is rooted in practical reforms, inclusive growth and sustainable development.
“My vision for Ogun State’s economic transformation is clear. As a passionate advocate for our state’s growth, I aspire to make a meaningful impact through economic development. By harnessing Ogun’s vast potential and addressing its challenges, we can create a more prosperous and sustainable future for our people”.
Strategic Pillars of Economic Transformation
– Agricultural Development:
Lemo described agriculture as a priority growth sector, noting Ogun’s fertile land and favourable climate.
He pledged investments in:

* Irrigation systems
* Agro-processing industries
* Rural value chains
These, he said, will boost productivity, enhance food security, and create large-scale employment.
– Tourism Promotion:
Highlighting Ogun’s cultural heritage, historic landmarks, and natural assets, Lemo said he plans to develop:

Lemo emphasized that no economy thrives without infrastructure.
