A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, Sunday Ohakwu, has alleged that there are plans to arrest former federal minister, Rt Hon Chibuike R Amaechi
Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, Ohakwu claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is unsettled by what he described as Amaechi’s “growing popularity.”
He further alleged that the planned arrest is intended to weaken the opposition party ahead of the next general election, noting that Amaechi is considered a leading presidential aspirant of the ADC.
