The Governor of Kano State Abba Yusuf has resigned from the New Nigeria People’s Party.
In the letter of resignation to the Chairman of the Party in Diso-Chiranchi ,his ward in ward Gwale Local Government of Kano, Yusuf hinged his resignation on “deepening internal crises” and “prolonged leadership disputes” in the the NNPP.
The resignation is coming just days after meeting the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Aso Rock Villa Abuja in the midst of growing speculation that he would defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.
