I’d have said maybe the backing of a popular northerner would help, but I don’t think that would yield any result as it stands.
You all need to understand that Tinubu is currently perfecting and fine-tuning his plans for 2027. The old man has been making strong alliances in the North and as it stands now, almost every governor in Nigeria is in APC.
The only way you can upstage that is by fielding a strong candidate that will appeal to the Northern masses, because let’s face it; religion is a strong criteria for voters in the core north.
The only northern candidate I think of right now that has that popularity, is Atiku Abubakar
In the grand scheme of things, I’d have said Atiku should be Obi’s vice, but that’s not possible because he once was VP. The ideal thing to do is for a power sharing agreement between Peter and Atiku.
If Atiku is willing to do 4 years and also Peter another 4 years, this might be ideal.
As much as Peter needs Atiku. Atiku also needs Peter.
The question is, will the both of them come to a gentleman’s agreement?
which I think, they have agreed on that before Coalition. if not no need for coalition.
