In 1958, she was honored with the traditional title of Omoruwafo of Ikenne.
She was also known affectionately as “Mama Agba”.
Her son, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was the Premier of Western Nigeria at the time of her chieftaincy title conferment.
The title recognized her status and contribution within her community and the broader Yoruba context.
