*YOUTH COUNCIL URGES PRESIDENT TINUBU TO CAUTION MINISTER WIKE*
The APC South South Youth Council (APC SSYC) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take immediate action against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over his recent derogatory remarks against the Ijaw people.
In a letter dated March 17, 2025, the National Coordinator of the APC SSYC, Comr. Preye V. Tambou, expressed deep frustration and disappointment with Wike’s behavior, which has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation. Wike’s comment referring to the Ijaw people as a “minority of minorities” on live television has been deemed reckless and potentially damaging to President Tinubu’s administration and 2027 reelection bid.
The APC SSYC noted that Wike’s actions have not only offended the Ijaw people but also raised concerns about his recklessness and potential damage to the administration. The council urged President Tinubu to re-evaluate his appointees and ensure that they are truly committed to serving the people, not just their personal interests.
