A candlelight procession has been scheduled to hold on Monday, February 17th, at 6 pm to pay tribute to the late Pa Ayo Adebanjo, a foremost social crusader and fighter for truth and justice.
The convergence point for the procession will be Adebanjo’s Compound, located at Ayo Adebanjo Close, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Pa Adebanjo was a highly respected figure in Nigerian politics and society, known for his unwavering commitment to fighting for justice and equality. As the leader of the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, he played a pivotal role in promoting the interests of the Yoruba people and advocating for good governance in Nigeria.
He was tireless in calling out corrupt leaders and till his death, he never compromised. He remained on the side of the masses of Nigeria at great risk to his own life.
Since his passing, dignitaries from all over the world have been paying tribute to Pa Adebanjo, praising his courage and conviction in speaking truth to power. The candlelight procession is a fitting tribute to his legacy, and it is expected to attract a large turnout of sympathizers and admirers.
The procession will be a solemn and dignified affair, with participants carrying candles and marching in silence to honor the memory of Pa Adebanjo.
