The sun shone brightly on the historic town of Abonnema as members of Kengema Ikia-a Ogbo, a prestigious social club, gathered at St. Augustine Anglican Church for their Annual Thanksgiving Service. The air was filled with joy and gratitude as friends, family, and well-wishers joined the club’s members to celebrate another year of growth, progress, and community development.
At the forefront of the celebration was the club’s President, Ikiabo Sir. Engr. Emmanuel Idoniboye, a distinguished Kalabari son and respected leader. With his characteristic warmth and charisma, he welcomed guests and set the tone for the service.
As the congregation sang hymns and offered prayers, the sense of community and camaraderie was palpable. Kengema Ikia-a Ogbo was founded by young professionals of Kalabari extraction with a shared vision of promoting human capacity development in Abonnema and the wider Kalabari region.
As the service drew to a close, Engr. Idoniboye expressed his heartfelt gratitude to members, guests, and the church for their support. He reiterated the club’s commitment to serving the community and promoting the values of excellence, friendship, integrity, and service.
Kengema Ikia-a Ogbo remains a shining example of what can be achieved when individuals come together to make a positive impact in their community.
