Why do some Nigerians wish their country ill, even in the face of progress and positive change? Whenever good news about our great nation is shared or posted on this handle, these shady elements react with curses, tantrums, endless complaints, and unwarranted bitterness. One can’t help but wonder – what fuels this misplaced anger? Even a few leaders who should know better, having failed miserably to achieve the current trajectory of progress during their time in government, such as Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, have sadly joined the bandwagon of naysayers, actively wishing ill upon their own country and driving the unpatriotic truck on the lane of ignominy!
Could it still be the sting of a lost election in 2023? Their relentless negativity and refusal to embrace the brighter future unfolding before them only serve to deepen the divide.
This unpatriotic behaviour, marked by constant abuses, curses and peddling of fake narratives, does nothing to advance our collective cause. Criticism, when constructive, can inspire progress, but blind rage and cynicism benefit no one. Nigeria is on the path to recovery, and our collective energy is better spent contributing to that journey rather than tearing it down. It’s time to channel frustrations into productive endeavours that benefit the nation and uplift our communities.
To those clinging to despair, we can only advise a change of heart for their own well-being. Harbouring such bitterness is a disservice not only to the country but also to their health. Nigeria has turned the corner, progress is evident, and victories will continue. The momentum created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is unstoppable! With 2027 already on track for a second term, the future is brighter than ever.
Let’s embrace this era of growth and unity, leaving behind the grievances of the past.
