Governors from the South-South geo-political zone have concluded plans to boycott all Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) meetings, including the National Economic Council meeting, citing the forum’s inability to protect one of its own, specifically the Governor of Rivers State, from a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The governors are unhappy with the recent comments and actions of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, targeted at PDP governors and the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara. They demand that President Bola Tinubu caution Wike or sack him to restore confidence in the forum’s leadership and maintain peace in Rivers State.
