Babatunde Raji Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, while speaking about the travel of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the rumours about his health. He said that since Tinubu had an injury on his back in 2002 anytime he travels, people would begin to spread rumours that he was dead, but he always comes back fine.
The former Lagos State Governor made this known while he was speaking in an interview, with Channels Television. He said that after the election, Tinubu, who was declared the president-elect decided to take a trip outside the country to rest and recover from the stress of the election. He, however, said that he is currently healthy and would soon come back to Nigeria.

He said, “He is outside the country. I don’t know, I haven’t called him since we finished our work. I lied, I spoke to him about a week ago, he was in France. Since 2002 when he hurt his back, almost every time he has travelled opposition has said he had died but he still comes back. He will be back soon, he is fine.”
