TRIBUTE IN RESPECT OF OTUNBA FOLASADE OLUKOYA, A SWEET, SOULFUL,
SOLEMN AND SELFLESS SISTER WHO HAS JOINED THE SAINTS TRIUMPHANT.
It was with tremendous astonishment, shock and disbelief that I heard about the transition of
OTUNBA FOLASADE OLUKOYA, a dignified personality of knowledge and pleasant character
of honour. Iwas initially disheartened and disturbed of her demise ‘butlater took solace in the fact
that she lived a beautiful life worthy of emulation and who was in fact an enormous source of pride
to everyone who knew her.
I got to know her about six Decades ago as we lived not too far from each other in the Akoka area-Yaba axis Lagos state
and as such were good family friends.
She has always been a sweet, beautiful and sincere lady, soft and selfless in nature. She perpetually
stood for dignity, goodness, peace, progress and tranquility. In fact, She,as well as all her siblings
demonstrated untainted traits of good educational very sound moral upbringing. They were friendly,
wealthy and trendy. I remember that she once told me to continue to promote academic scholarship
and excellence, with a drive to selfless duty, devotion and dedication which will take me to very high
status, identity and pedestals of honour.
She was a great lover of our tradition and culture and she embraced Royalty and Nobility with decency
and pride. She was a kind hearted lady who effused morality and demonstrated conviviality in very
large measure.
She was a torch bearer even among her family members and her numerous friends.
SHE CAME, SHE SAW AND SHE CONQUERED.
May her joyful, robust and ebullient soul find peaceful repose among the saints of God.
May the Lord also comfort all her family members and Friends who would surely miss her dearly.
Rest in peace OTUNBA SADE OLUKOYA.Your good works will speak for you and earn you a
rightful place on the right side of God.
