At the Fufore Local Government Area’s Saturday governorship election, the All Progressive Congress charged the governor with attempting to rig the results of the election according to a report by the Vanguard paper. The PDP has allegedly utilized violence, intimidation, and undue pressure to “disrupt the final collation and declaration of the Governorship election results in Adamawa State,” according to a statement made by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Senator Aishatu Dahiru (Binani), has won the election with a resounding victory. As a result of the imminent and certain possibility of losing the election, thugs and political figures, including the incumbent governor and PDP candidate Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, have released heavily armed thugs in an effort to obstruct further results collation and thwart the will of the voters in Adamawa.”
“The Governor, Fintiri is reported to have torn result sheets at the collation centre in a show of unprecedented impunity and executive brigandage.”
