The guilt is ours, the grace is Thine;
O turn us not away,
But hear us from Thy lofty Throne,
And help us when we pray.’ “O Lord, correct me, but with judgement; not in Thine anger.” Jeremiah 10:24. As we wake up this third Tuesday in September, let us pray for our nation, Nigeria and ask the Lord to give our President wisdom beyond his own understanding and the courage to choose the right path no matter how narrow the gate. In the same vein, let us pray for all in authority over us that the Lord would give them the grace and strength to stand against the temptation to use power as a weapon but rather to carry it reverently as one would a child. Let us also pray for all spiritual leaders in our country that they would hear the voice of the Lord and know His heart. May they lead from their knees before Your throne. May the Lord have mercy on us and make our leaders selfless that fear Him and are genuinely committed to making Nigeria great again, giving us dividends of democracy and wiping out all insecurities like kidnapping, banditry, Boko Haram, Herdsmen attacks, ritual killings, armed robberies etc facing the nation in Jesus mighty name. Amen. May we be protected from coronavirus, anthrax and any other disease in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Lord completely heal those that are sick among us and comfort those that are grieving over the loss of their loved ones. Amen. May the peace of the Lord that passes understanding fill our hearts and minds and remain with us for ever. Have a blessed day. Shalom!
