Christian Pulisic is pleased with his transfer from Chelsea to AC Milan.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder completed a transfer to Milan on a four-year contract until June 30, 2027, on Thursday, with the transfer executed through a deal worth a maximum of €22 million.
In his first interview as a Milan player, cited by the club’s official website on Friday, the USA international described the move as a massive opportunity and experience to learn and grow as a player.
“I think it’s just another massive opportunity and experience for me to learn and grow as a player,” stated the American.
He added: “Playing in a new league is a new challenge for me; it’s just going to test me that much more, and when those big moments like Copa America and stuff come around, I’m just going to be that much more battle tested, and that’s how I feel about coming to a new club, getting to play in all different types of new games, and playing for a new team.”
Pulisic, who has represented the USA at all levels of international football, started his professional career with Borussia Dortmund in 2016 and played for the German Bundesliga side until 2019, when he joined Chelsea, scoring 20 goals in 98 appearances for the Stamford Bridge giants.
Fondly called “Captain America”, Pulisic is renowned for his speed, sharpness, strength, sublime fitness, and mature decision-making.
