Sources indicate that the arrest might be linked to El-Rufai’s scheduled trial in Kaduna today, with some believing Tijjani’s connection to El-Rufai could be the reason.

Other sources suggest Tijjani may have began to posed a threat to the APC government in the state promoting the arrest as APC’s new strategy is arrest and intimidation of anybody who appears to be politically threat to them.
