Prominent Anambra businessman and politician, Chief Okey Ezeibe, Omeluora na Awgbu, has reportedly died suddenly in a hotel room in Imo State.
Ezeibe, founder and CEO of Legacy Motors (Legacy Urban Peony Services Limited) and former President and Board of Trustees member of the Balogun Business Association (BBA), Lagos, was reportedly in Imo for a scheduled meeting with NDC governorship candidate Chief Martins Agbaso.
According to reports, after Ezeibe failed to show up for their agreed breakfast meeting, his associates went to his hotel room, where they reportedly found him dead after forcing the door open. Sources suggested a possible heart attack, although the cause of death had not been officially confirmed.
Ezeibe was also a longtime friend of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who recently travelled to Marrakech, Morocco, to chair the wedding of Ezeibe’s son, Muna.
