Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), has thrown a challenge that every Nigerian must hear:
π₯The country set aside 450,000 barrels of crude oil DAILY for local consumption. For YOU. For ME. For our refineries to work, for fuel prices to drop, for life to become bearable.
But today, ask yourself:
Where is the fuel?
Why are we still queuing?
Why are we still paying through our nose while we sleep on top of oil?
π₯Falana says we must ask the NNPC what has happened to that allocation. And he is RIGHT. That oil is our commonwealth. It is not for a few cabals to divert, resell, or steal in the name of politics.
πHe went further to say what many are afraid to say:
Nigeria must review its economic programme dictated by the IMF and World Bank. For years, they told us to remove subsidy, devalue our naira, suffer today to smile tomorrow. But tomorrow never comes! Their prescriptions were never meant to help our economy, they were meant to keep us begging.
