Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will lose woefully in a free and fair election, citing President Bola Tinubu’s failed policies and alienation of the North.
Lawal, a former APC chieftain, defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and is now part of a coalition working to unseat Tinubu in 2027.
Lawal attributes the APC’s potential loss to Tinubu’s divisive appointments and policies, which have worsened hardship in Nigeria.
He claims the North will vote against Tinubu due to his failure to address regional concerns and development.
The ADC is gaining momentum, with several politicians defecting to the party, including Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State. The party is working to strengthen opposition and challenge the APC’s dominance.
