Yawning and falling asleep in the back of a police car, Tiger Woods is seen in these remarkable pictures moments after he was arrested for driving under the influence.
The champion golfer, 50, rolled his Range Rover last week while attempting to overtake a vehicle in the town of Jupiter Island, Florida.
Police have now released video footage of the moment Woods was found lethargic, sweaty and unsteady at the side of the road and later being taken away by the police. Officers found two opioid pills in his pocket, used to treat severe or chronic pain.
In the clip of him at the roadside, recorded by the arresting officer’s bodycam, the golfer can be heard explaining how the crash occurred. ‘I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden … boom!’ Woods tells the officer, explaining the moment he clipped the back of a truck towing a pressure washer trailer.
