The Regional Chairman the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has responded to allegations by an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Yusuf Haruna, popularly known as Baban Chinedu, who accused him of being a former armed robber and was involved in a bank robbery in Jos in 1980.
In a scathing attack that has since gone viral, Baban Chinedu said Rev. Dachomo was not just a dangerous armed robber but a liar who fabricated his encounter with Jesus Christ and has turned himself into a crisis entrepreneur who is benefiting from causing trouble in Plateau State and the North in general.
In a post he shared on social media platforms, the Islamic cleric said:
“Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo isn’t just someone seen in a photo with a bandit; no, he is the bandit! Ezekiel committed armed robbery. We have records on him from 1976, from ’76 to sometime after 2000. This man is a hardened armed robber. He is
a liar who fabricated stories about meeting Jesus after a 1980 bank robbery in Jos.”
