The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it security officials in conjunction with other security agencies arrested four suspected bandits in the precincts of the Akure Airport in Ondo State.
Henry Agbebire, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at FAAN, said the joint security operations was carried out in the night of Sunday March 15 following distress call relating to suspicious movement of some persons close to the perimeter fence of the Airport close to the Eleyewo community which had experience repeated attacks in the past.
