And so on Monday February 16,2026 in line with extant tradition that started 21 years ago when the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos State, the incumbent , Babajide Sanwo-Olu vacated his seat for a Day for Miss Esther Etiyemonu , the One Day Governor and overall winner of the 21st Lagos Spelling Bee Competition, a brilliant student of Lagos State Senior Model College Igbokuta, at Lagos House, Marina.
According to the Governor, “Her confidence, focus, and hard work stand out. She represents the very best of our youth, and I am incredibly proud of her achievements.Esther, all of Lagos is rooting for you and your bright future. Congratulations once again.”
Of course her parents came with her to the Government House and had a photo op with Mr Governor. Their Daughter made a way for them.
