It was a pure and organic show of love as His Excellency The Senator Otunba Engr Gbenga Daniel was met with a rousing welcome during an unscheduled visit to the Sagamu International Market on Monday 19 January, 2026.
Recall that Sagamu International Market with a stall capacity of 2,500 was built to international standards and fit with standby generators, shuttle buses and other incentives such as business grants to market women during the OGD administration. However, abject neglect by successive administrations has left the multimillion-naira economic edifice in a parlous state, necessitating relentless call for intervention by the marketers.
During the visit, Senator Daniel recalled how he went a great extent to ensure that Remoland has a befitting market that could competitively compare with other markets in the region. Decrying the state of the market, Otunba Daniel expressed confidence that his presence would now attract speedy attention from the state government while he continues to attract Federal intervention.
