I saw how powerful visual narratives inspire, educate, and connect people. They do more than just entertain. They shape how people see us and how we see ourselves. The conversations at the conference showed that the stories we choose to tell reflect who we are and who we want to become as a society.
Seeing the National Theatre alive again, filled with young people creating and dreaming, explains why so much was invested in restoring this space. It is to give the next generation of African storytellers a home worthy of their talent and a place to learn the responsibility that comes with telling our stories well.
