The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, was represented by the Deputy Director, Tourism, Mr. Emmanuel Benson Okwuokenyen, at The Art of Wellbeing wellness experience, held at Isimi Resort, Epe, Lagos, on Sunday, 14th December, 2025.
Also in attendance were the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Miss Damilola Ayinde-Marshal, Esq; the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Bank, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman; and the Head, Tourism and Creative Business, Sterling Bank, Ms. Abiola Adelana, alongside other key stakeholders.
The event, organised by Sterling Bank with the support of the Lagos State Government, was aimed at promoting wellness tourism across the State. It offered an immersive and thoughtfully curated experience designed to encourage holistic wellbeing, enabling participants to reconnect with their bodies, minds, and nature.
Highlights of the experience included wellness circuits, artisanal showcases, culinary experiences, wine tastings, and art exhibitions, all set within a serene and naturally enriching environment. The initiative seeks to spotlight destinations that enable residents and visitors to relax, recharge, and enjoy premium wellness experiences.
The event marks the beginning of a broader strategic effort to position Lagos State as a leading hub for wellness and lifestyle tourism, in line with the State’s commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and enhancing quality of life.
