Fellow Nigerians,
At a time when our nation is navigating one of the most challenging security crises in its history, many ask: Is there still anything to celebrate?
Our answer remains Yes—Nigeria itself.
We are proud of our country not because we are blind to its realities, but because we recognize its vast, undeniable potential. Our loyalty is not born from perfection, but from the understanding that no nation rises by abandoning its promise during moments of crisis.
Nigeria remains one of the most endowed territories on earth — rich in human creativity, natural blessing, and unbreakable resilience. The world is watching to see whether we will fracture under pressure or emerge as partners in shaping a new global future. At PVC-Naija, we believe the storms before us are a summons to leadership, not an invitation to despair.
It is on this foundation that A Nite 4 Naija 2025 will still hold as scheduled on Sunday, 14th December 2025, because nation-building does not pause in times of insecurity; it confronts and responds to them.
Why We Will Go Ahead
Nigeria requires a new culture of civic responsibility. Beyond protest and lamentation, we must begin to:
acknowledge leadership that serves citizens,
reward advocacy that confronts injustice,
and inspire governance that prioritizes security and dignity.
This event is therefore not merely a ceremony; it is a civic declaration.
It proclaims that insecurity will not silence excellence, demoralize citizenship, or distort democratic values.
Logistical Adjustment: Transition to a Media Event
In light of escalating national insecurity and the unnecessary risks associated with long-distance travel and mass gatherings, the Board has resolved that this edition of A Nite 4 Naija will hold exclusively as a media event, with only a small, specially cleared physical audience.
This decision is not rooted in fear, but in responsibility — the responsibility every civic institution must demonstrate during moments of national strain. As a value-driven platform, PVC-Naija must lead by ethical example and strategic caution.
Strategic Reduction of Award Categories
Upon national assessment and in fidelity to our principles, not all previously published categories can be defended in the context of today’s realities.
Integrity requires us to recognize only categories aligned with measurable impact, guided by our benchmark framework: SE — Security, Education, and Agriculture.
Accordingly, the 2025 Award Categories have been streamlined to reflect:
measurable security responsiveness,
educational impact,
civic communication,
conflict-reducing leadership, and
developmental governance.
We celebrate impact, not publicity; contribution, not popularity.
A Pre-Event National Discourse on Security
Before the award segment, PVC-Naija will convene a high-level multi-keynote national dialogue addressing actionable solutions to Nigeria’s insecurity.
The session will feature:
Opening Keynote — framing Nigeria’s existential security obligations
Respondent Keynote — policy interrogation and sectoral critique
Consensus Keynote — harmonizing collaborative solutions
Media Panel — strengthening investigative journalism and civic pressure against impunity
The outcome will be a Citizens’ Security Charter, to be formally transmitted to:
The Presidency
The National Assembly
The Governors’ Forum
The Intelligence Community
International Partners
The awards will not overshadow the crisis; they will answer it through responsibility and solution-driven engagement.
Nigerians, This Is a Civic Call
We cannot build a new Nigeria solely by condemning the old one.
We cannot reform leadership without recognizing models worth emulating.
We cannot preach accountability without rewarding those who uphold it.
PVC-Naija stands for:
Engagement — citizens shaping governance
Recognition — values inspiring leadership
Awards — honour reinforcing accountability
This is how democracies deepen.
This is how nations rise.
To All Nigerians at Home and in the Diaspora
This event is not commercial.
It is not political patronage.
It is not a showbiz spectacle.
It is a citizen-driven mechanism to strengthen democratic culture through merit, evaluation, and leadership modelling.
In the midst of insecurity, we choose to spotlight those who defend and build the nation, not those who exploit its fragility.
We invite you to join the event through our media partners and livestream platforms. Details will be released by the Secretariat.
A Final Word
Nigeria’s rebirth will not come from government alone. It will come from citizens who refuse to abandon excellence, who insist on justice, and who honour leadership that heals rather than harms.
Let history remember that in a time of national fear, we chose nation-building.
Let posterity record that when insecurity engulfed the land, Nigerians responded — not with retreat, but with responsibility.
A Nite 4 Naija is not an event. It is a civic oath.
🟢 Engage • Recognize • Celebrate • Build Nigeria.
