The Member representing Lagos Island Federal Constituency II and Chairman, House Committee on Anti-corruption, Hon. (Prince) Kayode Moshood Akiolu, MHR, extends his warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, the Oba of Lagos, the Akinsiku of Lagos, the entire body of Traditional White Cap Chiefs, and all citizens of Lagos on the announcement of the Eyo Adamu Orisa Play.
The historic play is scheduled for Saturday, the 27th of December, 2025. It will be staged in honour of three exceptional Lagosians: the late Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, the late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, and the late Sir Micheal Otedola. This celebration is a fitting tribute to their enduring legacies and profound impacts on our State.
Each of these illustrious individuals served Lagos State with exceptional dedication in their various capacities. Their visionary contributions were pivotal to the growth, development, and progress of Lagos. This Eyo festival serves as a grateful appreciation of their lifelong service.
As a Prince of Lagos, Hon. (Prince) Akiolu offers prayers to Almighty God for the peaceful repose of their souls. He prays that their virtuous deeds on earth earn them the highest place in heaven.
The Honourable Member commends the Lagos Traditional Council for using this deep cultural heritage to celebrate modern exemplary leadership. He urges all Lagosians and visitors to participate peacefully in the festivities and embrace the rich cultural significance of the event.
He wishes the organizers a successful and memorable outing that further strengthens the unity and historical tapestry of Lagos State.
