Special Guest of Honour
Mr. Wale Edun is the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. Wale Edun is an economist and investment banker. He was appointed the Chairman of the African Governors’ Forum of the World Bank in 2023, the first Nigerian to occupy this position in 60 years. Wale holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in economics from the University of London and the University of Sussex, respectively. Worked with Chase Merchant Bank (later Continental), World Bank. He co-founded Investment Banking & Trust Company Limited (now Stanbic IBTC) and served as executive director. Mr. Edun was the founder of Denham Management Limited, now Chapelhill Denham Group. He also served in Lagos State as Commissioner for Finance and was the chairman of the Governing Council and the Board of Trustees of the Trust Fund for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) for the implementation of the United Nations Environmental Report (UNEP) on Ogoni Land.

Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) He is a Chartered Management Accountant, Economist, Investment Analyst, Chartered stockbroker, and Risk Manager. Agama, with over ten years at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), was appointed Director-General of the SEC on April 19, 2024. Before the appointment, Agama served as Managing Director at the Nigerian Capital Market Institute (NCMI), a Securities and Exchange Commission subsidiary. He also headed other sectors of the SEC, including Registration, Exchanges and Market Infrastructure, and Head of Public Offerings, and Special Assistant to the Commission’s Executive Commissioner of Operations. Before joining the SEC, he worked with the University of Benin and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

Dr. Biodun Adedipe is the founder & Chief Consultant of B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA Consult). With about four decades of post-graduate work and professional experience that cuts across academia, investment banking, project finance, management, and financial consulting, he also served in not-for-profit organizations. ‘Biodun has had an illustrious career that has taken him through the University of Lagos, Enterprise Consulting Group, the World Bank (Africa Region), International Merchant Bank Plc, and First City Monument Bank Plc.
His technical expertise is wide-ranging, covering corporate strategy, research and economic analysis, solving complex business problems, and assisting clients in executing business solutions in line with their corporate strategies. He has served in various capacities in government, including Member of the
Presidential Committee of Experts on the Redenomination of Naira (November 2008), Member of the Federal Government Committee of Experts on Expenditure
Review (October 2010 to March 2011) and Senior Special Assistant to the President (Financial Sector Development) in the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser (2011).
