*Launches Mobile App, Reaffirms 2027 Ijebu Governorship Agenda*
The 2025 edition of the globally acclaimed Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode witnessed a historic show of unity, as the Ijebu Lokan Fun Itesiwaju Ijebu movement mobilized hundreds of supporters from across the six Ijebu local governments.
Clad in green-and-gold branded T-shirts and face caps, movement members marched in solidarity to pay homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR. Their coordinated presence sent a clear message of purpose: Ijebu is ready to lead come 2027.
The crowd chanted the movement’s slogan:
“Ijebu Lokan Fun Itesiwaju Ijebu …alájòbí, a gbé dédé ènì!!”,
while distributing handbills to sensitize attendees about the vision for a fair, just, and development-oriented future including the ongoing push for the creation of Ijebu State.
In a major tech-driven leap, the movement also unveiled the Itesiwaju Ijebu Mobile App, now available on both the Google Play Store and Apple iOS Store. The app will serve as a digital hub for grassroots engagement, development updates, and volunteer mobilization.
A senior coordinator stated:
“This is more than culture. This is a movement. This is destiny. Ijebu must lead in 2027.”
