He was one of the courageous, progressive and brilliant students I supported in the University of Ibadan when I was a lecturer there. My residence, 8a Amina Way, University of Ibadan, was always the meeting point.
I joined him and his colleagues to protest against the University authorities and the Government when situations demanded same. I have no regrets at all.
He is one of the very few who have shown gratitude for my mentorship. I am proud of him and the former student activists who were not among the “Come-raid Jeun Jeun” criminals in the country at that time.
I have maintained a cordial relationship with him and the worthy ever since. I just advised him to ignore one hypocrite who pretends to be an activist, a notorious Alatenuje, a very unstable character masquerading as an activist lawyer, who has been asking for his removal.
I advise, when necessary and encourage him to uphold the ethics of his profession. He is a police officer, not a cashtivist.
He is one of the few courageous young men in whom I am very pleased.
