The Abiola – Onijemo Link Road with bridge in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area provides a strategic connection linking Abiola/Ajayi/ Ogba and Obawole / Iju – Ishaga communities.
Commuters drive at least 3.5km from Ogba through College road to Aruna / Obawole before heading towards Onijemo, while residents use a wooden bridge for the Abiola and Onijemo communities to connect with a ‘fee’ attached. The wooden bridge eventually became a serious risk to pesdestrian and an eyesore in the environment.
The Communities, including the Political Leaders have hailed Governor Sanwo-Olu for this landmark achievement in the area.
