The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been ordered to deliver the complete 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023 presidential election results for the nation’s 774 local government areas within 20 working days, or face the consequences, according to the GovIndex Leadership Empowerment and Development Foundation.
The group submitted the request to INEC in a letter dated March 30, 2023, and signed by the group’s attorney, Barrister Udoka Oguekwe, in accordance with Section 1(I), (2011) of the Freedom of Information Act.
This information is in the public interest because it is likely to increase public understanding and trust in the work of the government in general and the commission in particular. I want a remission of all fees for this request.
