The G100 coalition says it has held first round of private consultations with Atiku Abubakar (ADC), Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso (NDC), Seyi Makinde’s APM, plus PDP, PRP and SDP.
In a statement by Salihu Lukman, G100 said meetings with national chairmen, presidential candidates and running mates were frank and encouraging, kept off media glare to protect integrity of process.
The group said leaders agreed that credible opposition requires sacrifice and putting national interest above personal ambition.
G100 has now fixed August 18, 2026 in Abuja for Summit of Opposition Parties to discuss modalities for grand alliance, citing its Doctrine of Necessary Democratic Opposition.
It warned fragmentation serves neither opposition nor Nigerians, saying its role is to facilitate dialogue, not dictate outcome.
