A new CBS News report says difficulties reaching Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, have become a major obstacle in finalizing the emerging agreement between Washington and Tehran.
According to US officials cited by CBS, Khamenei is reportedly staying at an undisclosed location with extremely limited outside contact, communicating only through a network of couriers.
The report says even senior Iranian officials struggle to reach him directly, causing major delays whenever the US sends new proposals or agreement details.
