Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, a former aide to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, is today officially declaring his intention to seek the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Agege Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Egunjobi, who previously served two terms as the chairman of Agege Local Government with the support of the speaker, announced his intention in a post on his Facebook page.
“Today, 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, I humbly answer the collective call of our people as I formally declare my intention to contest for the position of 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, under the platform of our great party, the 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 (𝐀𝐏𝐂).
“This decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 who believe in 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲,” he said.
Egunjobi extended a warm
invitation to all party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women, and the good people of Agege to join me at the declaration ceremony scheduled to hold at 𝐀𝐏𝐂 𝐋𝐆 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭, 𝐂𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝, 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐠𝐞.
“As we take this important step together, your presence will not only signify support, but also reaffirm our shared commitment to 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
