As per a report from Vanguard News, on Monday, February 16, 2026, Dele Momodu, the owner of Ovation magazine and a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, to avoid what he termed as negative feelings towards Atiku. He explained that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has the rightful opportunity to chase his presidential goals.
Momodu shared these comments in a post on X on Friday in response to a recent interview given by George.
His response came after a video interview in which George criticized Atiku for supposedly prioritizing his personal aspirations over the party’s and nation’s interests.
Speaking in Yoruba, George questioned why Atiku continues to seek the presidency despite appeals from party elders for harmony and mending fences.
The interview has caught the attention of political figures, particularly among members of the PDP and the ADC.
Atiku Abubakar and Bode George were once part of the PDP until Atiku moved to the ADC.
Their political connection has faced challenges in recent years, especially following internal disputes within the PDP regarding leadership and the presidential nomination.
George’s recent statements reflect the ongoing rifts among significant political personalities as the upcoming election cycle approaches.
