A one time Managing Director of Wema Bank who also served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr Tunde Lemo has declared his intention to vie for the Governorship of Ogun State in the 2027 general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC.
Tunde Lemo, from Abeokuta, the heartbeat of Egbaland, said in a statement issued on the sidelines of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congresses at Ward 12, Ita-Agemo, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta, on Tuesday February 18that he would vie to become Governor in 2027 and leverage on his vast experience to drive the State in the direction of grassroots development and economic sustainability through agriculture and related areas of advantage.
His Words :
“I don’t want to canvass for personal position here, but you all know who I am, and you know what I’ve been trying to do. But by the special grace of God, it is about governance. It’s about raising the bar and ensuring the best for our people, and that’s what we’re doing, and by the special grace of God, we will get there.
Yes, of course, I have my eyes on 2027 just like everyone else, but everything is in the hands of God.”
