In his own words, Atiku Abubakar said “Today, the affordability of food has become a luxury. The purchasing power of the people has significantly declined, primarily due to an unplanned removal of petrol subsidies without accompanying palliative measures. With a mere N1,000, anyone on the street can be handed a t-shirt and placard to participate in protests they have no understanding of.
“Nigeria has sunk to such a low state since Tinubu assumed leadership. Tinubu holds Godwin Emefiele responsible for the country’s economic struggles and has even ordered his detention, while simultaneously lavishing praise on the individual who not only appointed Emefiele but also awarded him a national honor. Such hypocrisy reaches its pinnacle here.”
