On February 16, 2025, the global Fuji music community celebrated a remarkable milestone as the Fuji Musicians Association of America (FUMAA), under the leadership of Ambassador Akeem Adéwálé Àlàmú, elected Alhaja Queen Isimot Abake Abiola widely known as Omo Opeki as its new Financial Secretary.
Omo Opeki, who also serves as the President of the Elite Women Musicians Club of Nigeria, has been a driving force in empowering female musicians and expanding the reach of Nigerian Fuji music. Her leadership within the Elite Women Musicians Club has been instrumental in nurturing talent, fostering networks, and promoting cultural heritage. Now, in her new role at FUMAA, she will oversee financial matters and contribute to the strategic growth of Fuji music in the United States and beyond.
