As predicted, parley was as explosive as it was enlightening. The indefatigable Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, HM Festus Keyamo, was as expected true to his firebrand nature as he gave the conference a few scoops which also attests the purpose for which the virtual conference was created. Yesterdayās conference was a no-holds-bared Parley during which the special guest lived up to his reputation as a straight-talking leader with passion for the development of Nigeria, Nigerians, and the Ministry in his care. I advise readers to kindly find time to watch the attached snippet video for a sample of the exciting session with the Honourable Minister. The first scoop of the conference was his frank disclosure regarding the agreement the country had with the Ethiopia Airline owned by the Government of Ethiopia with the shocking revelation that the agreement was tilted almost 100% to the advantage of the Ethiopian government with little or no consideration for Nigeria or its people as well as to the detriment of our local airline operators. This was followed by another scoop on the Irrevocable Deregistration and Export Request Authorisation (IDERA), which he confirmed to the conference was signed just last Friday 11th November 2024 and being announced for the first time to Nigerians and the world at the conference. He disclosed he was able to seal the deal for IDERA because of the measures taken since assumption of office that shot Nigeriaās Aviation industryās rating from 40 to 70.5. Then came another scoop on The Cape Town Convention. An international treaty designed to standardise transactions involving leasing of aircraft and requisite infrastructures needed for the smooth and secured operations of the industry as well as to increase financing and leasing of such equipment by reducing risk for lessors and enhancing legal predictability. He also revealed securing a deal with the UAE to train and retrain our personnel here in Nigeria, including the resumption of flights between both countries. All of these and more are steps taken by the Honourable Minister to ensure the development of our Aviation and Aerospace industry. In a complaint raised by a participant regarding one of our local airlines on international flight, the Honourable Minister, also in his usual indefatigable nature, requested that further information on the complaint be sent to him through *The Renewed Hope Global* team with a promise to avail the affected airline of the complaint and get it to investigate the matter and revert on it. Another highlight of the conference is the appearance of our Grand Patron, *Hon. Babatunde Ogala, SAN,* Senior Counsel to the President who informed the house that he purposely joined the conference silently so as not to disrupt the free-flow of information to the world from our special guest whom he holds in high esteem and was not surprised at the passion he is exemplifying in the discharge of his duties as the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. *Hon. Ogala, SAN,* went on to wonder how the team behind *The Renewed Hope Global* was able to āCaptureā the Honourable Minister given his busy official schedule. He then poured encomiums on the team for doing a great job of providing a veritable platform for Nigerians at home and in Diaspora to have a weekly heart-to-heart engagement with our leaders who equally has been generous with their time despite their busy schedules to give Nigerians first-hand information about the inner workings of this administration. He advised the team not to rest on their oars as their efforts are being monitored by the powers that be.
